Whilst inBendigo, I ventured into Food O Clock for a delightful lunchtime experience. As someone who loves enjoys Indian cuisine, I typically opt for a combination of meat and vegetarian dishes between 2 people. This time, I sought the owner's recommendation for a perfect companion to my lamb vindaloo. The owner, Iqbal Singh, immediately suggested their house specialty β peppered goat.
With nearly 20 years of experience running restaurants in Melbourne, Iqbal brings a touch of culinary magic to Bendigo. His signature peppered sauce, is truly a must-try! The food arrived within 15-20 minutes, and it was absolutely fantastic. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced, and the lamb vindaloo had a perfect kick. But the star of the show was definitely the peppered goat. The sauce was flavorful and new to me, complementing the tender goat meat perfectly.
It was wonderful to chat with Iqbal, who shared his journey from Melbourne to Bendigo and his passion for creating delicious Indian food. His friendly demeanor and genuine love for his craft truly shine through in the incredible dishes served at Food O Clock.
